This is an efficient, ergonomic and intuitive way to operate a secured residential or commercial door. The push and pull mechanism is patented and eliminates the pivoting action of conventional door levers and knobs. Therefore, simplifying the design as it consists of less than half the mechanical parts of conventional handles and locks; without compromising quality, durabilty and functionality. The handles and locks are also retrofittable by a layperson into existing standard doors.

This design, comprising a network of individual hexagonal cells, assigns a number of game-changing benefits to the condom. Taking cues from architecture and from nature, the material is incredibly thin overall, but without compromising on strength and protection. The raised structure is on the inside surface, for an increase in grip and a more comfortable fit.

The tool has great potential for disrupting traditional crafts, as it opens up the possibility of creating very complex shapes with a very intuitive workflow. A prototype has been tested by artisans from various disciplines including stone-carving and furniture restoration. David Neat, a London based sculptor used a Happaratus prototype to create Grinlings, a series of beautiful wooden objects.
